Fav Verse (at the mo)

Hey! Just wanted to share a verse with yous 🙂

20 You must fear the Lord your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone. 21 He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes. ” Deuteronomy 10 v 20&21

To cling to something is to hold tightly to it. At this point in the Bible, the Israelites are about to enter the promised land. For 40 years they had wondered around the desert and God was finally about to give them the land he had promised them. The reason Israel had to wonder for so long was because when God was about to give them the land 40 years ago, they grew fearful, so they rebelled and refused to enter. They were relying on their own strength and they knew they couldn’t conquer the land. But God could. He always could. So now he is urging their descendants to not make the mistakes of their parents. Cling. Hold tight. Worship.
